A basic USB-C to USB-C cable will support upto 60w (5A) - can be used, while 100W charging requires a special 5A-rated cable with an E-Marker chip to identify its higher power capabilities and ensure safe power transfer. You need a cable that is explicitly rated for 100W charging, often a Thunderbolt 3 or USB PD 3.0/3.1 cable.
